Certified Radon Inspections

Radon is a cancer-causing, radioactive gas. It is invisible, odorless, and tasteless — making it impossible to detect without specialized equipment. Radon is estimated to cause about 21,000 lung cancer deaths per year, according to EPA’s Assessment of Risks from Radon in Homes (EPA 402-R-03-003). If you smoke and your home has high radon levels, your risk of lung cancer is especially high. Radon can be found all over the U.S. It can get into any type of building—homes, offices, and schools—and result in a high indoor radon level.

Protect Your Home & Family

You can’t see radon. And you can’t smell it or taste it. Radon gas can enter your home through the foundation and collect in the basement and lower levels. Testing is the only way to know if you and your family are at risk from radon. A radon test will check for any hazardous concentrations. EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes below the third floor for radon. If you find that you have high radon levels, there are ways to fix a radon problem. Even very high levels can be reduced to acceptable levels.

Detailed Inspection Reports

Buying a property can be a stressful experience, so be sure to choose someone who has your best interest in mind and can provide you with the information needed to make the best decision. Each residential inspection is documented in a detailed inspection report. The report covers the condition of the home’s heating system, central air conditioning system, interior plumbing system, electrical system, roof, attic, and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and doors; the foundation, basement, and all structural components. A thorough home inspection can save you thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs when buying a house. Be Advised, Not Surprised!
